The Governor will be sitting down with Legislative leaders tomorrow to discuss using the state surplus to assist businesses and employees during this time of economic disruption. Evers specifically mentioned two proposals related to unemployment for Wisconsin workers. His administration will be suspending the work search requirements related to unemployment, and will be asking the Legislature to take up legislation immediately to eliminate the 1 week waiting period to become eligible for unemployment.
